The death toll from an explosion due to the leakage of gas pipeline at a house in Dhaka’s Mirpur-11 area reached four as another victim died on Friday afternoon.
Rawshan Ara succumbed to her burn injuries while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 3:40pm.
Confirming the matter, SM Ayub Hossain, resident surgeon of the institute, said three other victims are now at the high dependency unit.
Earlier, three people — Shafiq, 35, Sumon, 40, and Rina Akhter — died at the burn institute while undergoing treatment there.
On Wednesday, at least seven people, including four women and a child, were burnt in the gas line explosion at a six-storey building around 11:30pm.
