Bangladesh is likely to be covered with moderate to thick fog in the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Wednesday, the weather office has predicted.

According to the regular bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, “Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.”

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country and night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.

The lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 11.7 degrees Celsius in Srimangal of Sylhet division in last 24 hours till 6am on Wednesday while the highest temperature was 29.8 degrees Celsius recorded in Teknaf of Chattogram division.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over the central part of South Bay and the adjoining area persists. Its associated trough extends up to North Bay.

The Ridge of the Sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and the adjoining areas.
