Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Sunday launched a month-long programme marking the month of mourning when the country lost Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.
A group of disgruntled army officers killed the nation’s founding father along with most of his family members on August 15, 1975.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, as the chief guest, inaugurated the function at 5 pm, said a press release.
The national cultural center launched the month-long programme of online events titled ‘Satabdir Mahanayak’, centering the 45th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
