MP Latif leaves for medical treatment in Bangkok

Ruling party MP MA Latif left Dhaka for Bangkok on Monday for better treatment.

An aircraft carrying him departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA)  around 11.30am. His eldest son Omar Faruk confirmed the news to the reporters.

He said, “My father had been suffering from several heart complications for a long time. He also had open-heart surgery before. “

MA Latif was getting treatment from the Metropolitan Hospital of the capital.

His son added, “My father was airlifted to Bangkok this morning for better treatment. He would be admitted at the Bangkok Hospital.”

MA Latif had been elected from the Chattagram-11 constituency in three terms. He owns several business including that of shipbuilding and real estate. He also served as the President of Chittagong Chamber, an organisation for the businessmen of the port city.
