Reserved-seat ruling Awami League MP Parveen Haque Sikder has distributed 5,000 blankets among poor people in Shariatpur.
The lawmaker also distributed 1,000 tiffin boxes and 1,000 prayer mats among the distressed people of Bhedarganj, Damudya, and Gosairhat upazilas, a press release said on Sunday.
MP Parveen provided the humanitarian assistance from her personal fund, dedicating to her father, valiant freedom fighter Joynul Haque Sikder, it added.
