National award winning music director Farid Ahmed has died of COVID-19.
He breathed his last at the intensive care unit of Square Hospital at around 9am on Tuesday morning.
Farid Ahmed tested positive for the novel coronavirus last month, along with his wife, Shiuly Akhter. He was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on March 25.
Farid Ahmed won the National Film Award in 2017 for his work in "Tumi Robe Nirobe".
