A mutt from the dog squad will receive a gallantry award dubbed ‘Order of RAB Director General’, as reported by a RAB briefing on Monday.
The canine member of the task force, Cheetah, has been awarded on account of his heroic feat in securing three corpses from Gulistan’s Siddique Bazar blast scene.
The dog becomes the first canine member of the task force to receive the award.
The horrific blast took place in the basement of the "Cafe Queen Tower" building, housing sanitary hardware stores around 4.50pm on March 7, instantly killing around 10 people and injuring many more.
