Mobile financial service Nagad has introduced instant cashback on the purchasing of train tickets through Nagad, to alleviate the suffering of mass people during Eid.
Railway commuters will be able to pay for their tickets through Nagad via Bangladesh Railway’s website or the new mobile application ‘Rail Seba’, Nagad said in a statement on Saturday.
An agreement in this regard was recently signed between Sohoz-Synesis-Vinsen JV, a ticketing service provider of Bangladesh Railways, and the Postal Department’s mobile financial service Nagad.
As a result, customers traveling home will be able to purchase train tickets at any time, making the journey to their intended location simple and convenient.
Passengers can purchase train tickets using the Nagad gateway from Bangladesh Railways' official online e-ticketing website [eticket.raipment.gov.bd] or the 'Rail Service' app.
Customers purchasing a ticket using the website or the 'Rail Service' app and paying with a Nagad account will receive an immediate cashback of 10 per cent which is up to Tk 50.
Nagad Chief Executive Officer Rahel Ahmed said, “To relieve the suffering of mass people Nagad has come up with railway ticketing service. From now on, people can purchase railway ticket through Nagad. This offer will give pleasure to the home-bound people during Eid journey. By doing such things Nagad is becoming the people’s wallet, national wallet.”
This instant cashback offer will continue till July 14, 2022.
Passengers will be able to enjoy this offer subject to fulfilling all the conditions of the instant cashback offer. In addition, passengers must have an active Nagad account to avail this offer.
