Mobile Financial Service Nagad has taken the initiative to distribute graphic novel “Mujib” to children via postcards on Christmas.

The initiative was launched across various locations in Dhaka where Christmas celebrations were being held, said a press release.

Talking about the unique initiative for children on Christmas, Nagad’s Managing Director Tanvir A Mishuk said, “Bangladesh is a country of religious harmony. And for children, joy is more important than the religion. So, the initiative has taken by Nagad to increase the happiness of the children. I hope the children and their parents have enjoyed the event.”

During the daylong Christmas event at Hotel Intercontinental Dhaka, Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, Hotel Sheraton, Radisson Blu Water Garden and The Westin Dhaka, the initiative by Nagad titled “Abar Ashibo Firey” was executed.

In these events, children chose between four different post stamps and deposited the one they chose in a mailbox. Depending on their choices, Nagad will send them the graphic novel “Mujib” which is based on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The four post stamps have pictures of tea gardens in Sylhet, beaches in Cox's Bazar, Ahsan Manzil in Dhaka and the Sundarbans to encourage people to travel, the press release added.
