Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak on Saturday called upon BNP to join the parliament shunning all conspiracies.

"Government changeover cannot be possible without polls. So, BNP will not get any benefit by hatching conspiracy. Bangladesh must go ahead under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's leadership," he said.

Nanak was addressing a peace rally in protest against BNP-Jamaat's countrywide conspiracy and anarchy at Mohammadpur Town Hall.

He said Tarique Rahman hatched different conspiracies staying at home and as per his conspiracy, BNP had announced that Bangladesh would be run as per the directive of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman after December 10.

That December 10 has passed and the country is still being run by the AL government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the people are with the AL, he mentioned.

Defying all conspiracies, Bangladesh will march forward under Sheikh Hasina's leadership, he said.

AL Publicity and Publications Secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Dhaka City North AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, local lawmaker Sadeq Khan, Dhaka City North AL Organising Secretary Azizul Haque Rana and Jubo Mahila League President Aleya Sarwar Daisy addressed the rally, among others.

Mohammadpur Thana AL President Principal MA Sattar chaired the rally moderated by its General Secretary Matiur Rahman Miah Chan.
