A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed Nasir Uddin Mahmud and Tuhin Siddiqui Omie on a seven-day remand each in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Three women, also accused in the case, have been remanded for three days.

The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair Jessi passed the order after Udoy Kumar Mondal, an inspector of the Detective Branch of police and the case investigation officer, produced them before the court.

Earlier in the day, the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Kamrun Naher fixed July 8 for police to submit their probe report in the case filed by actress Pori Moni accusing Nasir, Omie and four others of trying to rape and kill her.

DB police are investigating the case filed at Savar police station on Monday.
