The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting Tuesday to fix the date of holy Shab-e-Barat of Hijri 1444 after reviewing reports on the moon sighting of Shaban month.
The meeting will be held at the Islamic Foundation conference room in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 6:20pm, read a press release.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.
People are requested to inform the committee about moon sighting by dialling telephone numbers — 02-223381725,02-41050912, 02-41050916 and 02-41050917 — or through fax numbers — 02-223383397 and 02-95559, or to contact deputy commissioner of the respective district or upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) concerned, the release added.
