A fire that broke out at a shoe factory near Tayeba Hotel in Nazirabazar of the capita’s Old Town has been doused by firefighters.
The fire reportedly started at 5.30pm on the second floor of a 10-storey building.
“Following a combined effort of six firefighting units, the blaze was taken under control at 6.10pm”, Fire Service Central Control Room Mobilizing Officer Lima Khanam said while confirming the matter to The Business Post.
However, the fire service could not immediately report the cause of the fire and the casualties.
