Dr Nazmul Hossain, a professor of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), has been appointed as the acting director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
The order, issued in the public interest will come into effect immediately, the notification read.
