Md Kamrul Hasan, the new deputy commissioner (DC) of Cumilla, took charge on Sunday.
He had been infected with coronavirus while discharging duties as the DC of Habiganj.
Cumilla's outgoing DC Md Abul Fazal Mir welcomed his successor at the office.
Kamrul Hasan belongs to the 21st batch of Bangladesh Civil Service.
