New Market, shopping hub for Dhaka residents will remain closed until the Covid-19 situation improves in the country, despite the government allowing all markets to open from May 10.
New Market Traders Association and New Market Shop Owners Association in a virtual meeting took the decision on Wednesday.
Earlier authorities of two other shopping malls Jamuna Future Park and Bashundhara City Shopping Complex authorities cited similar reasons and said they were not opening the malls on May 10.
