Nihad Kabir joins BUILD as chairperson

Barrister Nihad Kabir, former president of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has joined Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) as the chairperson for the year 2022-2023.

She was also the chairperson of BUILD in 2017.

Aside from her role as an independent director of the board of Square Textiles Limited, Kabir also serves as a director of the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), said a press release on Monday.

She previously chaired the Boards of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited and BRAC EPL Investment Limited and had been a board member of Bkash, BRAC Bank and several other listed companies.

She has succeeded Abul Kasem Khan, former president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), who was the chairperson of BUILD for 2020-21.
