Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has said it has not yet decided to reopen factories across the country amid coronavirus pandemic.
BGMEA yesterday issued a general directive to the member factories regarding reopening the factories where it said the authorities will set dates for reopening member factories gradually.
The directive said a zone-wise staggering approach will be adopted to open the RMG factories in a limited capacity initially.
It said in the first phase, managements are advised to ask only the workers living near their respective factories to join.
