In a move to contain the coronavirus spread, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday set up check posts at all the entry and exit points of Dhaka so no one can enter or leave the city.
However, emergency services will be out of purview of the restriction.
Confirming the matter to The Business Post, Mofizur Rahman Palash, assistant commissioner of DMP (media), said if anybody runs vehicles without any proper reason would be brought under the law.
In this regard, DMP sought cooperation from all quarters.
