The government is going to impose a ban on having food in restaurants without Covid-19 vaccination card.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Monday night disclosed the fresh instruction which is going to be effective within 15 days.

“The Cabinet Division will issue a directive in this regard,” he told the media after attending an inter-ministerial meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat over the spread of new Covid variant Omicron.

Replying to a question, Zahid Maleque said the government is not considering imposing any fresh lockdown at the moment.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan presided over the meeting.
