The anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Saturday said there is no specific information about any kind of militant attack, sabotage and any untoward incident in the country during the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
"The RAB force is ready to thwart any kind of sabotage plan ...Security plans are being taken with the coordination of the detectives or intelligence," RAB's spokesman and RAB Additional Director General (Operations) Col Quamrul Hasan told at a press conference after inspecting the security arrangements at the National Eidgah in Dhaka.
He said special security measures have already been taken in the capital and elsewhere across the country to ensure foolproof security on the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
The RAB spokesman added, "The RAB's commando team has also been kept ready at all times to deal with any kind of sabotages or attacks while RAB's air wing helicopters have been kept ready to face any emergency situation."
