Authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) have confirmed that no threats were found after searching an inbound flight following a bomb threat.
“The Air Force and the Bomb Disposal Unit found no such thing in this regard following a search of the flight,” HISA Executive Director Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan said while confirming the matter to The Business Post on Wednesday night.
He, however, did not mention the name of the respective airlines.
Earlier, reports said a Malaysian Airlines flight made an emergency landing at the airport in Dhaka following a threat of having a bomb inside it.
“The flight was searched after the airport received a message that the flight might contain a bomb,” Airport Police Station OC BM Forman Ali said while talking to The Business Post.
