Noakhali on Saturday recorded 127 new Covid infections in the last 24 hours, the highest in a single day for the district.
The District Civil Surgeon Dr Masoom Iftikhar has confirmed the matter.
The new infections were detected after testing 390 samples in the district. The rate of infection is 32.56 per cent.
With this, the total number of infections in the district has increased to 9,054.
So far, 123 people have died from the deadly virus in Noakhali.
