The Bangladesh Bank on Monday instructed banks to revert to normal banking hours from Wednesday while maintaining social distancing measures and following health guidelines.
As per the BB instruction, all banks will have to remain open for transactions from 10:00am to 4:00pm and bankers will have to stay at the bank premises till 6:00pm to conduct their internal official tasks from August 11.
The banking activities will remain closed in the bank’s evening and weekly holidays till further notice.
On April 13, the Bangladesh Bank (BB) decided to keep the banks open on a limited scale when the government announced a strict lockdown from April 14 to tackle the second wave of the deadly virus.
Then, the limited scale banking extended in several phases till August 10.
