Non-resident Bangladeshis (NRB) from now can open e-account using the “SIBL NOW” mobile app from abroad.
The Social Islami Bank Limited Managing Director & CEO Zafar Alam inaugurated the service “e-Account for Non-resident Bangladeshis” as chief guest in Dhaka, said a press release on Wednesday.
The Additional Managing Director of the bank Abu Reza Md Yeahia, Deputy Managing Directors-Md Shamsul Hoque & Mohammad Forkanullah, Md Mosharraf Hossain, Chief Remittance Officer Md Akmal Hossain, International Division Head Md Sultan Badsha, Information & Communication Technology Division head and divisional heads along with senior officials were also present on the occasion.
“Non-resident Bangladeshis now can open e-account through SIBL NOW mobile app from abroad easily,” said Zafar Alam at the event.
After opening the account, the account holder will receive a dual currency debit card, and they can use it for multi-purpose uses such as shopping both at home and abroad.
He also hopes that remittance inflow would increase through this service of Social Islami Bank.
