Six officers of the Detective Branch of Police, including the officer-in-charge of Feni, were arrested Tuesday following a written complaint by a gold trader from Chattogram.
Feni Superintendent of Police (SP) Khandaker Nurunnabi confirmed the matter.
Some 15 gold bars were recovered when the district police administration handed OC Saiful Islam Bhuiyan and five others over to the Feni model police station on Tuesday night, SP Nurunnabi said.
A robbery case was filed against them at the police station, he added.
The five others arrestees are Sub-Inspector (SI) Mizanur Rahman, SI Nurul Haque, SI Motahar, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abhijit Roy and ASI Masud Rana.
