Government and autonomous offices started following the new schedule, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, on Tuesday.
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul announced the new schedule after a meeting at the Secretariat on October 31.
“The office hours have been changed to 9:00am to 4:00pm instead of 8:00am to 3:00pm because of winter. All government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous organizations will follow it,“ he said.
Earlier, on August 24, the office hours were changed to 8:00am to 3:00pm.
