Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged illegal drug peddler with one kg and 995 grams of heroin from Basudevpur village in Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon, reports BSS.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Kiran Hossain, 40, of Kuchiamara village under Sirajdikhan upazila in Munshiganj district residing at present at Arambag in Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.
On a tip-off, a team of RAB-5 conducted a raid in the area at around 1 pm and arrested Kiran with the heroin, a RAB official said.
Later the arrested person was handed over to the police of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station.
