A Rohingya youth was killed and 10 others injured in a gunfight broke out between two rival groups of the refugees at Chakmarkul Rohingya camp in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nur Hakim, 27.
Armed Police Battalion-16 (APBn) Captain SP Tariqul Islam confirmed the news to the media.
Sources said the gunfight broke out over establishing supremacy in the camp area.
The body was recovered from the spot and the injured were sent to various hospitals for treatment, said Tariqul Islam.
