Dengue has claimed one more life in the past 24 hours until Sunday morning, taking the death toll to 42 in the country since January.
Besides, 252 more people were hospitalised in the 24-hour span with the mosquito-borne disease, according to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the new patients, 202 were admitted to state-run and private hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 50 cases were reported from outside the Dhaka division.
A total of 9,857 patients have been treated for dengue at the country's different hospitals this year, the DGHS said.
As many as 1,123 patients are currently receiving treatment in the country, the DGHS said.
Of them, 980 are receiving treatment at different hospitals in the capital while the remaining 143 were listed outside Dhaka.
The health authorities said 8,690 dengue patients have been released from hospitals so far after recovery.
The dengue outbreak has become a cause of major concern as the country is battling the deadlier Delta variant of coronavirus with its limited healthcare facilities for the last few months.
