The Election Commission has made online submission of nomination papers mandatory for candidates vying in the sixth upazila parishad election in chairmen, vice chairmen and female vice chairperson positions.
This was confirmed in a press release signed by Election Commission Secretariat Director (Public Relations) Md Shariful Alam, and issued on Monday. It stated that nomination papers cannot be filed except online.
The first phase upazila parishad election will be held on May 8 and the deadline for nomination paper submission is April 15. The commission has requested the candidates to submit nomination papers before the last day, to help the technical and systematic process.
