Leaders of transport owners and workers have demanded the resumption of long-distance public transport services ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association, Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners' Association and Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation came up with the demand at a press conference in the capital on Saturday.
Speakers said proper health guidelines will be maintained if their services are allowed to resume.
