Partex Group’s founding chairman and former Member of Parliament MA Hashem died at a Dhaka hospital after being diagnosed with coronavirus infection. He was 78.
He breathed his last around 1:20am on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital, confirmed his son Showkat Aziz Russell.
MA Hashem was admitted to the hospital on December 11 after he tested positive for Covid-19.
Later, he was put on life support on December 16 as his condition deteriorated.
Russell said his father will be buried at the Banani Graveyard.
