The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has organised a 2-day eye care programme for its employees in collaboration with Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS).

The programme will take place at the BGMEA Complex in the capital’s Uttara on May 28 and 29, read a press release.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan inaugurated the event on Sunday, which is providing free services including diagnosis of eye conditions, and prescriptions for various eye diseases. Journalists also received the eye care under the programme.

MSS President Feroz M Hassan and adviser Tarikul Ghani were also present at the launching programme.

During the event, doctors conducted basic eye tests to identify problems and prescribed eyeglasses and medicines. They also offered personalized advice and guidance on maintaining good eye health.

Faruque Hassan said BGMEA remains committed to promoting the wellbeing of its employees and endeavours to create a working environment that nurtures physical and mental wellbeing.

“By organising the eye care campaign, we not only aim to ensure good vision of BGMEA’s employees but also raise awareness about the significance of eye health. Healthier vision leads to improved productivity and job satisfaction,” he added.
