A man was shot during a clash between two people over “transferring money through MFS” near Gloria Jeans café in the capital’s Gulshan area on Sunday.

The injured was identified as Aminul Islam. A rickshaw-puller was also slightly injured during the clash.

Md Abdul Ahad, the deputy commissioner of Gulshan division, said Arif locked into an altercation with one Alim (an employee of a shop) over transferring money through Bkash near Gulshan DCC Market at Gulshan-1 behind Gloria Jeans café around 4:00 pm.

At one stage, Arif called his people and one of them opened fire that left two people wounded.

Aminul sustained a bullet injury in his leg, and rickshaw-puller Abdur Rahim received slight injuries, the DC said. Aminul was taken to United Hospital.

Police arrested a man from the location where the incident took place.
