Quamrun Nahar Ruma, former sports journalist and Assistant Professor at Press Institute Bangladesh died of Covid-19 on Monday morning.
She breathed her last at a private hospital of Dhaka at 6:30 am on Monday,” a source close to her family confirmed.
“She had been on life support for the last five days,” the source added.
Before joining Press Institute Bangladesh, Ruma worked for The Bangladesh Observer and The Daily Observer as a sports journalist.
Ruma is the wife of Mashiur Rahman, sports editor at The Daily Observer.
