Renowned Playwright Mohammad Noman on Tuesday passed away while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Film Directors Association Secretary General Apurba Rana said, “The eminent playwright breathed his last at around 1:30pm. I extend my deepest condolences to the grieving family, wishing peace for the departed soul.”
Noman had been fighting against leukemia for a prolonged period. His treatment incurred significant expenses, and despite assistance from family, friends, and various organisations, managing the costs became challenging.
