Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin briefed the reporters after the meeting.
President Shahabuddin and his wife Rebeka Sultana welcomed the prime minister with a bouquet on her arrival at Bangabhaban around 7:35pm while the prime minister also presented a bouquet to the head of the state and his spouse.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina apprised the president of various aspects of her recent foreign visit. She discussed various state-level issues, including her recent visit to Geneva in Switzerland.
President Shahabuddin thanked the prime minister for her successful visit to Geneva, Switzerland where she attended the "World of Work Summit: Social Justice for All" held on June 14-15.
Mohammed Shahabuddin said the prime minister’s visit would further strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations, including trade and investment.
The president and the prime minister exchanged well-being and inquired about each other's health conditions during the meet.
