Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Ferdous Ara, sister of Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
In a condolence message, the premier prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ferdous Ara passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a city hospital. She was 70.
She is survived by two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives.
Her namaj-e janaza will be held at her own residence at House no-19, road-12, RAJUK Housing, Merul Badda in Dhaka after the Magrib prayers.
