Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said she wants to sit with the leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement to hear their demands.

“I want to sit with the protesters. I want to listen to them. Ganabhaban’s gates are always open for them,” she said at a meeting with Peshaajibi Somannoy Parishat at Ganabhaban on Saturday afternoon.

She also said that the new pension scheme which the university teachers had rejected and demanded their exclusion from it has been cancelled.

Besides, the police members involved in Begum Rokeya University student Abu Sayeed's killing have been suspended and they will be brought to book, said the prime minister.
