Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned actress of Bangla cinema, producer and former MP Sarah Begum Kabori.
In a condolence message, she said Kabori is a bright star in the arena of film of this country.
“Her contribution in politics and cultural arena beside film will be remembered,” she said.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Veteran actress and former Awami League MP Sarah Begum Kabari has lost her battle against Covid-19 at a Dhaka hospital. She was 70.The popular actress breathed her last at 12:20am at Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital in Dhaka.
Her son Shaker Chishti confirmed the news while addressing media at the hospital.
