PM unveils book 'Muktidata Sheikh Mujib'

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday unveiled a commemorative publication titled "Muktidata Sheikh Mujib", marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sheikh Hasina, also the eldest daughter of Bangabandhu, unveiled the book virtually joining the event titled "Joy Bangla" at Sheraton Dhaka hotel from her official residence Ganabhaban, a press release said.

The book, edited by the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) and the Exim Bank Agricultural University Bangladesh, presents the nation in detail the illustrious life and multidimensional thoughts of the greatest Bangalee of all time, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of the country's independence.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself wrote the preface of the illustrated memoir.

CUB founder and Chairman Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat said, "Canadian University of Bangladesh is working to implement a world-class Canadian education system in the field of education in Bangladesh. In this continuation, the work of editing the book 'Muktidata Sheikh Mujib' has been completed.

“I believe we can be involved in many more such quality works in the future," he added.

The 384-page book was published by News Bangla24.com and Dainik Bangla. They were also the media partners at the event.

The price of the book has been fixed at Tk 4,000.
