PMO signs APAs with its 7 bodies

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has signed the Annual Performance Agreements (APA) with its seven organisations for FY24 aimed at implementing the government's development goals under an effective, efficient and dynamic administrative system.

The APAs were inked on Thursday at a function where Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah was present as the chief guest, said a press release on Friday. 

PMO Secretary Mohammad Salahuddin presided over the APA signing ceremony while Prime Minister's Principal Coordinator for SDG Affairs Md Akhter Hossain was present as the special guest, the release added.

The PMO secretary inked the APA with the heads of relevant departments/organisations.

Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Lokman Hossain Miah, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Shaikh Yusuf Harun, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, Executive Chairman (Secretary) of National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) Nasreen Afroz, Chief Executive Officer of Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) of PMO Dr Md Mushfiqur Rahman, Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) Sheikh Md Moniruzzaman and Project Director of Ashrayan-2 Project Abu Saleh Mohammed Ferdous Khan were also present at the ceremony.

All the officials of Governance Innovation Unit, PMO along with the directors general and directors participated in the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Secretary to the PM Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain Miah mentioned about several topics including the role of APA in increasing efficiency, transparency and accountability of government employees as well as institutional capacity.

He thanked the Governance Innovation Unit for playing an effective role in APA related activities and expressed gratitude to all who took part at the APA signing ceremony.

The APA is a result-based working plan to reach the desired goal by increasing the efficiency and accountability of the public servant.
