A case has been filed with Fatullah Model Thana last night for negligence over the air conditioner (AC) explosion at the Baitul Salah Jame Mosque in Sadar upazila here on Friday which already claimed 24 lives.
Sub Inspector (SI) Humayun Kabir filed the case against unidentified persons, alleging negligence resulted in the explosion and casualties.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Fatulla Model Police Station Aslam Hossain confirmed BSS, saying the horrific blast at Baitus Salah Jame Mosque might have happened due to negligence.
No one was named in the case, he said. “But, persons, who will be found responsible over the explosion in the investigation by the probe committee, will be brought under the law,” he added.
