The police have been able to create an investment-friendly environment in the country by maintaining law and order and implementing a zero-tolerance policy against militancy and terrorism, Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun said on Friday.
"As a result, foreign investors are drawn to this country. The country's economy is growing," he said while inaugurating the newly constructed studio dormitory in Sunamganj's Shalla police station.
"For a long time, the police have been performing electoral duties. We are prepared to face any challenge in the coming days."
Sylhet Range DIG Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Sunamganj Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah, and other officials were present.
