A national grid substation in Kewatkhali caught fire again on Thursday morning, resulting in a power outage in at least four districts in Mymensingh division.
Abul Hossain, deputy director of Mymensingh Fire Service and Civil Defence, confirmed the matter to the media, saying the fire broke out at the 132/33 KV grid substation around 10:30am Thursday.
However, he assured the fire incident today was not a major one. Two units of the fire service rushed to the scene after being informed and brought the fire under control. The firefighting team is still on the spot, Abul Hossain added.
Earlier, Kewatkhali power grid caught fire on Tuesday around 1.30pm, snapping the power supply in the entire division. The power supply was restored the next day.
