President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and the Daily Janakantha editor Mohammad Atikullah Khan Masud.
In a message of condolence, the head of the state, President M Abdul Hamid, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a separate message of condolence prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the grieving family.
Atikullah Khan Masud died at Evercare Hospital here this morning at the age of 71.
The veteran journalist had been suffering from breathing problems for long.
