Three suspects have been arrested over the rape after abduction of a schoolgirl from a hotel in Cox’s Bazar.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested prime suspect Ashik, 27, while on Monday police arrested Kamrul and Shahin, manager of the guest house where the incident took place.
RAB 15 chief Lt Col Khairul Islam Sarkar confirmed the arrests.
According to the rape survivor’s family, the schoolgirl was abducted on December 13 and raped for two days repeatedly by Ashik at a hotel in Kolatoli, Cox’s Bazar.
“On December 18 the victim’s father filed a complaint accusing five named and four unnamed persons,” said Cox’s Bazar Sadar police station Sub Inspector Abdul Halim.
