The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Tuesday formed a probe body to investigate the burial rites of a freedom fighter in Banshkhali of Chattogram without providing a state of honour.
A letter signed by deputy secretary (Administration) Md Jahangir Hossain has been sent to the Chattogram Deputy Commissioner, said a press release.
The letter seeking investigation report said “It is undesirable for the government that a brave freedom fighter has been deprived state honours”
Ministry Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh also talked with the Chattogram Deputy Commissioner over cell phone over the matter.
