Probe report in DSA case against Nur April 7

A Dhaka court on Sunday set April 7 to submit a probe report in a case lodged under Digital Security Act (DSA) against former vice-president (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur and five others.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy passed the order as investigation agency detective branch (DB) of police failed to submit the report today.

The student of Dhaka University filed the case against Nur and five others for abduction, rape, and character assassination, on September 21, 2020, with capital’s Kotwali Police Station.

The other accused in the case are Bangladesh Chhatra Adhikar Parishad convener Hasan Al Mamun, joint -convener Nazmul Hasan Sohagh, joint-convener Md Saiful Islam, vice-president Md Nazmul Huda and Abdullah Hil Baki.

Earlier on September 20, she had filed another case against Nur for abetting rape with Lalbagh Police Station.
